In 2023, 123 YRT buses were involved in a collision, with many of them involving private vehicles sideswiping or rear-ending buses while attempting to pass.
While it can be inconvenient travelling behind a large vehicle that makes frequent stops, it’s far worse causing a preventable accident with careless driving.
Remember, being aware and passing with care keeps all road users safe and allows buses to stay on the roads, providing an essential transportation need for many residents in our communities.
