Recently, while searching for new topics, we were suddenly hit by a wave of youthful vocabulary and hyperactivity. Because "ENGIE - A can full of sheeeeeeesh" has been heavily promoted on TikTok in recent weeks. And by "promote," we mean: 20 TikTokers (most of whom each have more than 1 million followers) together in a villa in France, three pools, giant Engie logos everywhere, Engie cans in every corner, challenges with Engie, Engie hats, Engie tattoos, an Engie bus, an Engie skateboard—the list is endless. The slogans (or was it itsdyma, nilskue, and estefaniaelisa?!) seem to scream: BUY THIS DRINK IF YOU'RE YOUNG AND COOL! Because Engie's target audience is "Gen Z" (born between 1997 and 2010), the advertising is brimming with youth slang and diversity. You'd almost think they were trying to compulsively include every word nominated for Youth Word of the Year. But despite all the intrusive advertising, everyone still wonders: What does this stuff actually taste like? And why exactly is this drink so special? Was the market waiting for Engie, or is the "TikTok energy drink" just pure marketing hype? We've investigated all of this in more detail for you in this video!
