They know the despair and misery that lies at the end of their demented partner’s goals, but they don’t care... at first. Soon enough they realize they can take command, and eventually turn on their partners. No longer the loyal soldier, they realize the existence of their conscience, and decide to list to it for a change. Also helped by their partners true feeling for them revealed, now they seek to clean up the mess that was made. Yeah they may still be out there, but they can’t restore things from a jail cell.
