In every large, and ever-expanding cast of characters, there’s always gonna be that one jerk. Charismatic (to a point) but a petty jerk that will do anything to get ahead, and steal the girl right from under the hero’s nose. They’re relatively harmless, not to mention barely around, relegated to very minor roles and rarely ever a true antagonist. They’ve been beaten around more times than you can count, but like a cockroach they come back to showboat every now and again, and let the world know they’re still around, unfortunately. Like it or not, they’re stuck with them, and the heroes will just have to put up with them.
