Solar Settlers is a euro board game style card game. You are tasked with exploring, exploiting and expanding, settling a certain population within a certain turn limit.
The higher the rank, the fewer the turns and more the population to settle.
There are many races to play as, each with their particular niche and playstyle.
In this game, I play as the Void. They have the power to destroy planets to get tremendous bonuses; they want empty space. Destroying
Gas world: 10 Hydrogen
Jungle world: 8 Oxygen
Rock world: 5 Resources
Water world: 3 Cards.
Their home planet, "Origin", lets you spend 1 action to: Spend 1 Resource →1 Colony. It starts with 1 Colony. When you settle here, destroy a non-settled planet. It produces 1 Oxygen, 1 Colony.
I also have access to 4 race specific planets:
"Schematic Database" (Empty Space, 1x Action: Card
2x Action: Draw Open Space Card, +1 Oxygen)
"Matter Collector" (Empty Space, 1x Action: 1 Hydrogen per adjacent non-planet sector. Produce: 1 Resource per adjacent non-planet sector.)
"Extraction Facility" (Purple World, 1x Action: Hydrogen, Oxygen, Card, 2x Action: 6 Hydrogen, 4 Resources. Destroy after using second ability.)
"Fusion Drive Center" (Gas World, 1 Military, Free moves off Open Space sectors)
The normal playstyle is to try to get travel corridors of Empty Space, using Matter Collector for resource needs, and 1 Fusion Drive Center to make movement efficient. Destroy unsettled worlds whenever you're feeling the pinch.
