This is the one where the GreenCarGeek and his family want to thank the efforts of all emergency services personnel who work tirelessly to extinguish the multiple fires around the Los Angeles, which have taken several lives and thousands of homes, businesses, numerous public and private places where communities gather.

To help those suffering through these and future life altering events, GreenCarGeek encourages donations to the following organizations:

American RedCross

ASPCA

World Central Kitchen

While under a Public Safety Public Shutoff, we had a need to keep some lights, appliances, and devices powered. This video shows how we used our 2023 Kia Niro EV to power these items using the 'Vehicle to Load' (V2L or VTL) adapter.

GreenCarGeek highly recommends those shopping for a new or used EV V2L functionality be a part of your purchase decision. V2L offers benefits beyond powering devices in your home. It is a great feature to have when camping, going to the beach, or shooting a YouTube video.
