Soothing Ambient Audio visit to Rivian's Joshua Tree Charging Outpost
Consider this the 'director's cut' of the one where we visit Rivian's Charging Outpost in Joshua Tree, California, located right off of 29 Palms Highway. My original idea was to have no narration to allow viewers to focus on the tranquil scenes from the original video (plus some added footage). In the background is actual ambient audio taken that day.
This is the first Charging Outpost Rivian opened to all EVs. The Charging Outpost features 12 - 300kW DC Fast chargers, with one of them a pull-in stall for those with trailers in tow.
The Charging Outpost is open 24/7. During business hours you can drop into the lobby to take a load off, access the restrooms, get a snack or drink, or peruse the array of merch. The interior is decorated with works by local artist. Staff is available to answer questions.
Adjacent to the lobby is the Adventure Lab. Here you can get hands on with a display model, or spec out and purchase your Rivian.
You're welcome to learn about the native plants in the informative nature garden while the kids enjoy a rock to climb on and other fun activities.
