Personal branding on LinkedIn is important because it can help you stand out to potential employers, showcase your skills and expertise, and build your professional network. Here are some tips for creating a strong personal brand on LinkedIn:

1. Define your brand: Your personal brand should be an authentic representation of your values, skills, and expertise. Think about what makes you unique and what sets you apart from other professionals in your field. Develop a clear and concise personal brand statement that summarizes your strengths and value proposition.

2. Optimize your profile: Your LinkedIn profile should be complete and professional, with a clear and engaging headline, summary, and work experience section. Use relevant keywords and phrases that are likely to be used by recruiters and hiring managers in your field.

3. Create and share content: Share content on LinkedIn that demonstrates your expertise and thought leadership in your field. This could include articles, blog posts, videos, or infographics. Engage with other professionals by commenting on and sharing their content, and participate in industry conversations and discussions.

4. Build your network: Connect with people in your industry and field, as well as potential employers, recruiters, and thought leaders. Personalize your connection requests and engage with people in a professional and respectful manner.

5. Show your personality: Your personal brand is not just about your skills and expertise, but also about your personality and values. Be authentic and show your personality in your LinkedIn profile, content, and interactions with others.

Biggest thing to remember is we all have a personal brand but it comes down to what yours is saying about you. It goes beyond colours and logos, it is how you make people feel. My background was in accounting but I loved public speaking, when i went out of my way to showcase my skills it helped me to move out of accounting.

My moustache is part of my brand, wearing pink shirts is part of my brand but that is only the external part of it. How you treat people is the key with it.
