Did you know that Mexico, like many other countries, celebrates several carnivals during the month of February? Filled with diverse musical and artistic expressions, these festivals date back to the XV century and were brought to America by the Spanish and Portuguese.
In the different entities of our country, the carnival imitates the elements that enjoy a certain prestige worldwide, such as the parades of troupes and costumes, the floats, the flower fights, the election of a queen, of an ugly king, etc. Carnivals of this type are held in cities such as Veracruz, Mazatlan, Acapulco, Manzanillo, Merida, Campeche and Villahermosa, among others.
