Bridal Hoop Rehab: Making an 1850s Crinoline from a Bridal Petticoat
Time for another budget costuming hack! In which I take my ratty old bridal hoop and turn it into a somewhat more historically accurate crinoline!
For those who are interested in using these measurements for their own crinoline making endeavours:
Total skirt length: 35"
5" from waist to first bone
All other bones are 6" apart
Top bone: 55"
Bone #2: 75"
Bone #3: 96"
Bone #4: 114"
Bone #5: 122"
Bone #6: 135"
I get my twill tape from twilltape.com. For this project I used the 1" heavyweight tape.
