Making an 18th Century Bergere from a $1 Hat
It's time for another budget costuming hack! This time, I am making an 18th century bergere hat from a $1 Dollar Tree sunhat. It took some experimenting, but I did manage to make something work!
In the future, I am definitely going to add some millinery wire to the edge of the brim to help keep it from being so floppy, and I'll eventually get around to trimming it, too.
