I FINALLY fixed the climate control error code - 2003 Volvo XC90 Part 32
One problem I've had during my ownership was that there was an error code with the climate control (CCM-0021 - air quality sensor fault). Brand new, these sensors are expensive from the dealer. I found one on eBay for £20 so I decided to buy it. What the sensor does is to "sniff" the air coming in to the interior and if it detects any odours it closes the flap to stop said odours from coming in. Fitting the sensor wasn't too difficult and upon clearing the error code it hasn't come back so that was a confirmed fix.
