In this video, I explain what the terms dithering and drizzle integration mean. Both terms sound similar and are often confused. In fact, they are fundamentally different things, but they are related. The video explains the theoretical concepts, such as how dithering can improve images. Drizzling, originally conceived by the Hubble Space Telescope team, is also explained theoretically. A second video with practical tips for drizzle will follow.
