Welcome to the Fjällräven Polar 2024 challenges. To earn your place on next year’s expedition, you will need to complete three challenges released weekly and published on this page from Monday 30th October 2023. Remember, there are no wrong answers – only your interpretation of the challenge, your creativity, and your passion. Read on for the full challenge descriptions. The best of luck!
CHALLENGE #1 - Give a voice to your local environment
The environment you call home can be described in an untold number of ways, through its history, heritage, flora, fauna or cultural identity. The environment Fjällräven Polar calls home is the Arctic. In winter, its sprawling woodlands and lakes become vast white-on-white landscapes, where intense snowstorms, desolate fells and shimmering Northern Lights become part of this magical but often harsh and unpredictable season.
We’d love you to tell the story of your local environment. What does your home turf mean to you? What features make it unique? And in what ways might you ensure that it’s looked after in the future?
Respond by uploading a video, photos, imagery or any other creative content to a public Instagram account by Sunday 19th November. Tag your submission with @fjallravenofficial, #FjallravenPolar2024 and #Challenge1.
Before you start, a quick reminder...
For a successful application, you must complete the application form and all three challenges by posting them to your Instagram account by Sunday 19th November.
To ensure the judges see your content, you must set your Instagram profile to ‘public’ and tag @fjallravenofficial and #FjallravenPolar2024 for each entry.
Every entry must also include the corresponding challenge hashtag: #Challenge1, #Challenge2 or #Challenge3.
