In line with the European Commission’s upcoming publication of its digital fairness fitness check, the new mandate will be revisiting the EU consumer law framework, which could pave the way for a ‘Digital Fairness Act’.
As part of our latest report on Harmful Online Choice Architecture by Research Fellows Christoph Busch and Amelia Fletcher, CERRE hosted a discussion on deceptive patterns and harmful user interface design, and the principles that should guide further regulatory action on online choice architecture.
