my time at school in montana seems like centuries ago - but it was this week, three years ago, that i visited my current school in point loma for the first time and settled on transferring. the song in this video (we will all be changed by seryn) is very sentimental to me, as it was used in a video that was shown to me when visiting the campus, and i've loved it ever since. it brings me calm and great joy, and i knew i wanted to use it in my own video someday - i just didn't know when! this ended up being the perfect time, as it's a long song and i finally had an event that produced enough footage (actually way more than enough!).
as soon as i told rachel, my roommate at the time, we planned on her coming to visit me someday at my beautiful new campus. this year, our senior year, six months after i visited her back in montana, she came to see me here in san diego! we had an absolute blast, spending a week playing tourist. we had perfect weather, delicious food, and lots of good, hearty laughs. i'm so glad this trip was able to work out. nothing helps me appreciate where i live more than seeing it through the eyes of someone who has never been!
