In this video, I analyze the AIYIMA A07 MAX amplifier, performing bench tests using a load. I connect a 4-ohm anti-inductive resistor and observe the characteristics of the amplifier's output waveform at different power settings to verify under which conditions the amplifier is capable of producing the declared power of 300W x 2. I identify the amplifier's clipping level and analyze the THD (Total Harmonic Distortion) with the FFT measurement performed by the oscilloscope. I perform a thermographic analysis with the KAIWEETS thermal imaging camera seen in a previous video ( • 0913: A CACCIA DI GUASTI CON LA TERMOCAMER... ). To measure and calculate the efficiency of the class "D" circuit, I use a TDK Lambda 48V 10A power supply. To characterize the frequency response, I use Analog Devices' ADALM2000 to produce the Bode plot and observe a flat frequency response up to about 53 kHz. The phase response exhibits several rotations, which I later verify are due to an acquisition problem and not the amplifier. Finally, I perform a teardown of the amplifier to confirm the components used. I don't perform audio tests to see how it "sounds" (hence the title of the video) because specific equipment is required, but I do show the "audiophile" comments provided in the reviews.
