In today's episode, I'll discuss the dual power supply presented in video 621, which uses three LM317 regulators and three LM337 regulators connected in parallel to provide an adjustable output voltage and a maximum current of 4A.
During the video, I'll answer three questions:
1) What changes are needed to the circuit to achieve independent output regulation between the positive and negative branches (removing tracking).
2) What is the maximum voltage applicable to the LM317 input?
3) How can I build a linear step-down DC-DC converter that converts an input voltage of up to 100 volts to an output voltage of 30 volts while handling a current of up to 4A?
As always, we start with a theoretical explanation of the circuit diagram and then perform tests to confirm whether the theory matches the practice.
Enjoy!
