This lesson is an overview of the Simple Past Tense. You will learn how it is structured, when it is used and what difficulties are probably dragging you behind in using it in day-to-day speech.
Structure:
Subject + Verb (Past form) + Object/Complement
When using the simple past tense, you need to know the past form of verbs, which could probably be challenging.
This is not difficult for regular verbs. You just add '-ed' to the base form of the verb. But irregular verbs are different and you have to learn them individually and memorize them.
We use the simple past tense to talk about our past actions that are finished/ over. It all belongs to the past.
