CHRIST AND SOCIAL MEDIA, 11 OF 12
Moral Life and Virtue: The moral life is rooted in goodness and virtue, which is essential for good use of social media. 🌱
Sin and Obstacles: Sin interrupts growth in goodness. Recognizing it is key to overcoming it. ❌
Sin as a Sickness: Pointing out sin is similar to diagnosing an illness; it is the first step toward healing. 🩺
Awareness of Sin: Grace is only appreciated when one is aware of sin. 🌟
Repentance vs. Pride: To avoid guilt, some people choose pride, which prevents repentance. It is vital to choose hopeful repentance. 🙏
Guilt and Consequences: Guilt can lead to despair or cynicism; however, the Christian path is hopeful repentance. 💔
Knowledge of Sin: Recognizing sin goes beyond seeing it as a simple transgression; it implies a betrayal of God's love. 🤝
Betrayal of God: Sin is more than breaking a law; it is betraying God's love and trust in us. 💔
Personal Deviance: Sin damages ourselves, separating us from our best selves. 🔄
Spiritual Self-Harm: Sin is a self-inflicted wound that destroys our best dreams and projects. 🔪
True Contrition: Contrition is the deep sorrow for having rejected God's love and damaged our own soul. 😔
Law and Grace: The law enlightens us about what is wrong, but only grace gives us the strength to avoid evil and do good. ⚖️
The Arduous Good: Good is difficult to attain, and evil is seductive; We need grace to want and be able to do good. 💪
Strength in Grace: Grace not only illuminates, but also strengthens our will to pursue what is good. ✨
Spiritual Transformation: To navigate social media well, it is vital to recognize our sins, seek grace, and transform our actions. 🌐
