Waves of Harmony Round Table Chat (Submit your Questions!)
This coming Monday (June 5th), several members of the Waves of Harmony project (shamisen/world fusion) will be getting together for a video-recorded Round Table Chat to talk about their experiences on the project!
The artists on the panel will be Jesse Autumn (Harp, Piano), @TairyuShakuhachi (Shakuhachi), Edwin Itoh (Guitar, Harmonium, Co-Producer), Douglas Lee (Glass Harp), Joel Mankey (Bazouki, Shinobue, Co-Producer, Engineer), and Steve Uccello (Bass)!
Unlike other recording projects which typically provide all artists with charts and instructions to play just what the producer requires, in this project all artists pretty much had total freedom (aside from a few suggestions) to play what felt good for them, resulting in emotionally rich tracks which gelled together perfectly, despite most members having no previous interaction! We'll discuss this experience, after which I would love to open it up to public questions!
