New Shamisen World Fusion Release! (Burning of Auchindoun)
One of my favorite Scottish ballads went through the Waves of Harmony arrangement tunnel and is now released!!
Normally an a cappella ballad, I made an instrumental arrangement of Burning of Auchindoun for my 2016 Retrospective Christmas album, Frosty. However, that version consisted of only myself playing as many instruments as I could. Sounded cool, but was quite bare-bones. After I started the Waves of Harmony project and discovered just how rich the musical experience was when a barrel of amazing artists are collaborating, I immediately felt that this song deserved to be refreshed with a full ensemble!
