This was supposed to be a normal freediving trip where I was meeting some new people to go dive with, but during the dive, a reasonably large great white shark came right up to me and ended the dive-day for all three of us. Thankfully nobody was hurt, but it was definitely enough to make me as well as my new buddies call it quits for the day. I almost wanted to cut out the parts where you could tell I was visibly shaken both before and after the dive, but I figured it serves as a good learning tool for you to actually respect your gut feeling whenever you have the heebie-jeebies in a scenario like this. We ended up going diving the day after this as well, so I am happy that this encounter did not scare me away from the sport altogether. Since this video was recorded, I have at least doubled my dive-times which greatly increased my chances of spearing fish at these depths (30-35 feet). I appreciate any of you who watch the video because editing took absolutely forever due to my slow computer. I put it off for months until I acquired and installed upgrades to my laptop, but now I have a new mini-PC which I have yet to test out. If all goes well, I should be able to post much more frequently so long as the editing process is sped up a bit. Thanks again and I hope you have a good day!
