COOLEST GUITAR SHOPS Ep.1 Part 1- REAL GUITARS of San Francisco
Hey now, music and guitar lovers… Music Therapy Laz here asking you, do you Shop Your Mom And Pop Music Shop? Well, I certainly do, and of all the shops in my area, this one is hands down the coolest!
REAL GUITARS has been in this location off a small size street of San Francisco since the late 80s and is still run by one of its original employees... my buddy Chris and his son. I've been telling my friend, and fellow YouTuber, Johnny Beane about this place about as long as I was telling him about my other favorite spot, Guitar Showcase in Campbell, CA, where I bought my first electric guitar back in 1988. I finally got him to check out this shop with me after we went to have a chat with the people at X Corp (aka Twitter) just around the corner... a most successful meeting, I might add!
This shop has one of the most eccentric collections of vintage and custom guitars, effects and amps, etc., in the area. Just ask one of my favorite Singer-Song Writers & Creatives on YouTube... Mary Spender. She loves this store and browsing through here when in the City by the Bay! Perhaps only 2nd to Norman's Rare Guitars and The Guitar Collector, both in the LA area... you'll always find something interesting to dream about someday buying here. I'll guarantee you'll experience the hardest symptoms of G.A.S. you've ever felt when here... so beware! Just ask my buddy Martin of L&M Guitar Corner and that '66 Gibson ES-335 he can't stop dreaming about... I'll admit, I, too, have been dreaming of that one!
We didn't have much time on this visit to test out anything, but I'll be heading back there this Thursday, 3/21/23, with my buddy Brent, aka...
