Shorted tactile switch in an HP TS-H192C CD drive
When your CD drive begins opening and closing by itself, the answer could be as simple as a faulty eject button. You may be able to easily solve this, and other similar problems in electronics, by replacing the cheap (and often faulty) tactile switch(es). You most likely do not have a poltergeist.
