A JezMM L4D video upload in 2023!? Almost as much nonsense as this instance from a recent Last Man on Earth game that I somehow survived. This campaign (Vienna Calling) has really long maps too so it would've been particularly bullshit had I died here, but ah well. The A.I. Director is getting on in years and these old community campaigns are probably a bit frightening and confusing for them when playing the weirdo mutation modes.
For full context, this map ends with an elevator ride up to the safe room, with nothing but a short corridor inbetween them, so when you're in the elevator, you're basically done... or so I thought.
Was nice of Tanky to nudge the door shut for me in his dying moments though.
Vienna Calling and it's sequel (which leads on directly from the end of the first, which is neat!) are both pretty good ones if you've never tried them. They're a bit unusual, not like "wow these could fit right into the game as if they were official campaigns" quality, with slightly longer than average maps (which makes dying a pain), and a little overly dark at times, but really brimming with creative ideas and memorable setpieces, with a couple of moments that really push the limits of what you might expect out of a community campaign. VC1 feels a little old hat (it was a pre-DLC L4D1 campaign originally I think and shows it's age) but it's worth playing to enjoy 2 to the fullest.
