Synopsis - While recuperating in a Confederate girls' boarding school, a Union soldier cons his way into each of the lonely women's hearts, causing them to turn on each other, and eventually, on him.
I always wanted to see the original "The Beguiled" done in the style of the remake trailer... and well, now it exists and the world has it. You're welcome.
Nothing against Sofia Coppola, I think she is a great filmmaker, and I totally respect her choice to focus on the story from the women's point of view - However, I may be in the minority that prefers the original, though it is certainly not as pretty. Knowing the main character's true nature from the beginning just makes the story far more intriguing to me. -- DM
