Director - Dario Argento
Synopsis - A musician is stalked by an unknown homicidal maniac, who blackmails him for the accidental killing of another stalker.
For a long time, Four Flies has notoriously been one of Argento’s most obscure and difficult to find films — up until the brand new 4K restoration released by Severin. Of course, Argento is better known for his later works which went into full on supernatural horror, but for me it is fascinating to see how his stylish sensibilities evolved from these earlier films.
Also, as a bonus - this film stars Mimsy Farmer, an intriguing screen presence in the 70’s who also starred in another favorite of mine, “The Road To Salina” - which you can watch my trailer for here!
