Car smashed by surf at high tide!
Willunga real estate agent Nick van Vliet captured the video of a car getting smashed by surf at Aldinga Beach while he went for a walk with his wife Saras and kelpie Priya on Thursday morning.
The water was crashing over the bonnet and had filled the Toyota.
“I was down at the beach with my wife and dog in the morning and we saw the car submerged in water so we went over to make sure no one was hurt,” he said.
“There was a lady that was already there and she said she had called police.
“Thankfully there was no one inside.
“We have noticed the same car before — it has Northern Territory plates — a few weeks ago.
“There was a lady sleeping in there.
“The last time we saw her, she had parked very close to the water as well. She must park by the water and forget the tide is coming up.”
