Yeahhh I meant to say potential energy. Kinetic energy would be in motion. It's been a long time since physics class, but still no excuse.
Lets take a look at what would be a piece of crap, but for the functionality as a component, could make some quickly deployable armor and shields.
The automatic expandable baton may be cheap, but it saves me a ton of time in developing and manually machining a mechanism as such. *BANG BANG* You hear gun fire...**CUSHIIIINK* at the press of a button your shield is deployed. Yeahhhh, at least its suppose to work that way. This is still just a work in progress...
