How To Make $5 Grappling Hook - Terraria Inspired (Dollar Store Items)
Add 3 dollar store crow bars + some cheap poly rope (wound with a hand drill) and you can weld yourself a DIY grappling hook! Yes the welding equipment is expensive but borrow a friends setup!
Honestly, I can't believe that I could make some strong rope that can actually hold my weight; 50ft for just $1...incredible!

So I'm at the dollar store and I'm thinking to myself what can I make from a few items that would be useful in a survival situation. I want it to sturdy enough to last a good while while still on a STRICT budget. Strolling down the tool aisle I noticed these small crow bars, something that could fit in your glove compartment. Then I notice some poly rope sitting next to it. This reminded me of video games like Fallout 4 and Terraria where you find materials and use them to make new gadgets and tools. BAM it hit me, I'm going to make a Dollar Store Grappling Hook!
Dave, my friend from HackPGH helped me tremendously on this project by grinding paint and welding everything together. I was feeling extra creative and had him fill in one of the chain links and grind the surface flat to create a makes shift hammer.
