Why are some martial arts from the mid 1900’s considered to be “traditional martial arts” why ancient fighting styles like boxing and wrestling are not? Why is taekwondo, a style started in 1955, considered traditional, but Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, which began 30 years earlier in 1925, is considered a “modern combat sport”?
