Add a built-in mains power (240v/120v) extension lead for your Workmate - an essential upgrade for your workmate and woodworking workshop.
In this video I'll take you through my 10th workmate modification/Hack/accessory, an upgrade that adds a mains power supply extension lead conveniently located and stored on the workmate.
Power tools tend to come with short mains leads so this built-in extension lead makes a massive difference, I've designed it in a way that still allows the Black and Decker Workmate to still be folded away, important for a portable tool!
This mod requires a small amount of wiring skill but is very easy to make.
Parts Needed:
1. MDF or other suitable board
2. Mains extension cable
3. Metal mains socket case and sockets.
4. Paint.
5. Glue
Tools Needed:
1. Saw
2. Hammer
3. Screwdrivers
4. Wire cutters
5. Clamps
6. Workmate (of course!)
