5 Black and Decker mods that will make DIY easier.
Workmate Mods No:1-5 | Skill level: Easy | Time needed a few hours
Here i describe 5 simple modifications/hacks any tinkerer can make to their Black & Decker Workmate so that it is even more useful that it already is. My Workmate model is an 800, but these modifications should work on any model such as the 125, 225, 400, 425, 536, 825 etc.
1) 0:14 Convert the workmate into a bench
2) 0:52 Create a foam cover for the bench and storage for this cover
The cover is useful for assembly and disassembly jobs or any 'clean' job where you don't want to scratch the part being worked on.
3) 2:56 Magnetic tool holder
No more lost tools for drill bits!
4) 2:37 Bench dog storage
Yes, I have a lot of bench dogs
No, I never need this many!
5) 2:48 Tray for temporary storage
catches dropped parts
useful for storing larger tools while tinkering on a project.
