Chinese-made LED headlight bulbs often have shorter lifespans compared to halogen bulbs due to a few common factors:

Heat Dissipation Issues: LED bulbs generate heat, and if they lack proper cooling mechanisms (such as efficient heat sinks or fans), the excess heat can damage internal components over time. Many lower-quality LED bulbs, especially from less reputable manufacturers, use cheaper materials or poorly designed cooling systems, leading to overheating and premature failure.

Cheap Components: Some Chinese LED bulbs use substandard electronic components, including low-quality diodes and drivers. These components are crucial for regulating the current and voltage supplied to the LED. Inferior materials and designs may lead to early burnout or malfunction.

Inconsistent Quality Control: Certain manufacturers may not have rigorous quality control processes, resulting in bulbs with defects that reduce longevity. Issues like poor soldering, unregulated power supplies, or inconsistent production standards can cause the LEDs to fail more quickly.

Moisture and Sealing Problems: LED bulbs, especially those used in automotive settings, need to be properly sealed to prevent moisture from entering. Some cheaper LED bulbs from China may have inadequate sealing, leading to water ingress and electrical failure.

In contrast, halogen bulbs are simpler and more forgiving in design. They operate at higher temperatures by design, but the technology is mature, and heat management isn't as critical as it is for LEDs. As a result, halogen bulbs tend to be more durable under poor manufacturing conditions.
