There are several retirement rules available from the INSS (Brazilian National Institute of Social Security) for those who are 62 years old. The main one is Age-Based Retirement. Retirement by Age is only an option for women aged 62, as for men, this rule requires age 65.

In addition to requiring 62 years of age for women, Retirement by Age also requires 15 years of contributions and 15 years (180 months) of qualifying period.

There is no retirement from the INSS (Brazilian Social Security Institute) without contribution time or proof of work!

If you want to retire, you need to contribute regularly to the INSS and meet all the requirements of the desired rule.

It is also important to take care of the required 180 months of qualifying period, because without this period, you cannot retire!

The qualifying period is related to paying contributions on time. Therefore, do not delay your INSS payments! This way, you avoid headaches later on.

Check out the videos above in this description to learn about other retirement rules available for those who are 62 years old!

And create a retirement plan with a trusted social security lawyer to find out which rule is best for your case and obtain the best possible benefit!
