My Brother's Keeper
Produced for the Independent Filmmakers Coalition of Kansas Cit's 1 / 3 / 5 film festival, "My Brother's Keeper" won the Best 5 Minute Film Award. Bobby Wilson (JAVION) won in the Best Actor category.
The five and a half page short was shot with 3 actors and 3 crew members in 8 hours. Films in each category had to have an exact run time of 1, 3 or 5 minutes exclusive of credits. The production was filmed on the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera shooting RAW at 24fps mounted on the Beholder MS-1. The film was edited and color correction was performed in Davinci Resolve 12.5. The majority of scenes were color graded with VisionColor's IMPULZ LUTs (Kodak Vis3 500T 5219 (NEG)_CIN and Cineon to Kodak FPE 2383 D60). In spite of the tight timeline, limited resources and technical hurdles, the production was a joy to work on. I commend the cast and crew for coming together and making it happen.
