Director Rod Webber travels the country and offers a “flower for peace” to the good people of the US, including the 2016 presidential candidates. The concept began as performance art– but after generating millions of views on social media, he took the project to the campaign trail, spawning countless more viral videos– from prayers of peace with Jeb Bush or John McCain, and discussions of peace with Bernie Sanders, to putting flowers in gun barrels of open-carry demonstrators. At times, it is hard to know what’s going to happen– whether Rod is getting attacked by Trump supporters, or getting arrested for quoting scripture, or he is ejected from rally after rally for not being “Trumpy” enough– or the scariest incident where the FBI, Homeland security and ICE agents do a surprise guns-out, warrantless raid on Webber at a friend’s home while they were sleeping, during the Republican National Convention.
