In case you missed it, I am not, nor was I ever a Clinton supporter. What I was saying is that Clinton rigged the primary against Sanders, and thus, against herself. I was never a Sanders supporter either, because he always said he would get behind the DNC's decision. Beyond that, what I was driving at is that we've got a broken system-- but if everyone is insistent on perpetuating this broken system, then the electors ought to consider Federalist 68, and Trump's abundance of foreign interests. With all this talk of electors, it seems like it’s hard to say just who will be president.Why? Because the election was rigged, and everybody knows it. Clinton, Trump, Jill Stein, Gary Johnson, Jeb Bush and everybody in America knows it.
The only person in America not complaining about it is the guy who probably won. Bernie Sanders.
How is it rigged? Plenty blame the Russians, but what I'm talking about is our utter failure of a system. The machines aren’t accurate. Votes are thrown away, and worst of all—the big candidates with the fat wallets work with the mainstream media to cover it all up. MSNBC and CNN shill for liberals, while Fox News and Breitbart and a host of other outlets shill for conservatives. Both sides spread disinformation in order to fatten their bank accounts, and the big loser is the American public.
Next, look at the DNC. If you are a liberal, you probably never saw footage of the Police swinging at protestors with night-sticks, despite the fact that the mainstream media filmed it. That’s because they wanted to claim unity behind Hillary, when clearly they were in the middle of stealing the nomination from Bernie. The conservatives however, aired the violence because it benefitted their narrative. And if you supported Hillary all the way and are still in denial, just ask yourself about the 100 thousand purged votes in Brooklyn alone.
On the topic of the electors— that’s tricky.
There’s something about it that’s not very democratic… But neither was anything else about this year’s presidential election. If you look back to Alexander Hamilton he opined that the Electoral college was designed to weed out a candidate without the, “requisite qualifications.”
And, so the Electors can either vote their conscience or abstain from voting altogether. The problem is that conservatives will hit back with the 1952 case of Ray vs Blair which gives authority to the States. The whole thing will be a legal circus— but, it cannot be said enough— Donald Trump is a racist, sexist, waterboard-loving demagogue. I know first-hand his savagery, and his lack of common decency for his fellow man, much less, the American people.
We should be electing our public officials based upon their moral character and good deeds, but money in politics has long prevented this from being the case. What we end up with is shiftless characters and moral reprobates running our country. The mainstream media is complicate in this deception.
Truly, the electoral college should be dumped. The mainstream media should be dumped. Money in politics should be dumped. Donald Trump should be dumped. But… Given the system that we have, the electors should say no to Donald Trump.
They already killed our democracy. Don’t let Donald Trump kill what’s left of our country. If you’re an elector, you should say no to Donald Trump. It might turn into a circus, but it may be the only chance that we’ve got.
