Bob Newhart the crooner on Donahue, November 13, 1989
Bob Newhart's character is at an open mic with others but declines adamantly to get on stage. Later when everyone is gone Bob finds he is alone in the club. The mic beckons so he answers the call to entertain. Sheepish and shy at first he comes back and does classic Bob Newhart. I found this to be hilarious.
