A friend asked if I could clean a .22 Marlin (model 60) he recently acquired used. It was jamming. I found it to be quite caked with burned powder and grit throughout the receiver. I then test fired at least 29 rounds rapidly and no jamming or misfires. Sometime later he said every round jammed. I asked him to bring it to me. Haven't heard a word since that request. He has very little experience with firearms.
I am no expert but have used the many firearms I have owned extensively over 60+ years for fun, hunting and self defense. I have never been charged with any crime except one and that charge was dropped. I refused a plea bargain stating only that I had the Right. I had to state it several times. I immediately filed to obtain the records of the incident but the court had already destroyed or buried them as the law allowed. So there would be no record of it other than my claim here. A small victory for America and the Second Amendment. A police officer told me I acted legally and was a 'victim' of a corrupt police department. I did not want to believe him but he is correct. I have had several more incidents occur that proved him to be correct.
