Repairing a toxic friendship – can it work? 👀
Childhood friends Sammy and Aliyah have known each other since birth, but their relationship has always been complicated: On the one hand, Sammy can be totally supportive and loving, but on the other, she has often excluded Aliyah and even bullied her – whether because of her weight, her queerness, or her loud personality.
A year ago, Aliyah had enough and broke off contact. She felt that Sammy never truly accepted her. Nevertheless, the past won't let go of her: She wants a clarifying conversation – and a sincere apology. For Sammy, breaking off contact was painful, but she also wonders whether a fresh start really makes sense.
