Sat, 10 May 2025 / 17:00 IST

Swati is currently with the Andhra Pradesh Community-Managed Natural Farming Programme, where she supports senior management in programme design, strategy, fund-raising, communications, and ensuring seamless integration of verticals. She also collaborates with governments and global partners to advance agroecological transformation. Alongside her work, Swati is pursuing a PhD from Bangor University, Wales.

A Rural Management professional, Swati has spent over 1,000 days living in rural communities, deeply engaging with women’s collectives to understand the challenges impacting their lives and livelihoods. Her grassroots experience has shaped her expertise in designing and implementing women-centric, large-scale development programmes across India.

In her talks, Swati reflects on her decade-long journey in the development sector, highlighting the barriers women face in leadership roles. She contrasts male-led narratives on women’s leadership with women’s lived experiences and shares insights into fostering inclusive leadership in the context of climate change and sustainable agriculture.
