When it comes to beautiful destinations worth traveling to that will give you plenty of room away from other people (social distancing) because of COVID-19, Namibia should be at the top of your list.
We specifically recommend you ensure Swapkomund, Walvis Bay, and Sossusvlei, (and Deadvlei) are on your list. Deadvlei and Sossusvlei are a bit further than everything else, but it's worth the journey to see the eerie landscape and the sand dunes.
Protip: camp inside of the sossusvlei park so you don't have to wait for the gates to open. Anyone that stays outside of the park has to wait until 6 or 7 AM, but you get a 1 hour head start if you camp inside the park.
Make sure you climb a sand dune, Dune 45 is recommended for sunrise, or head to Big Daddy over at the vleis!
Bring water, a snack, sunscreen, a hat...it's the oldest desert in the world, it is going to get hot!
