The Nocturnes - Storm Warning (1964)
The U.S. wasn't the only place churning out surf rock bands and songs in the early 60's. Australia had it's own take on the instrumental and surf movement. Bands like The Aztecs (backing band for Billy Thorpe), Fabulous Blue Jays, Joy Boys and The Playboys were every bit the equal to The Ventures, Challengers, Chantays and Safaris.
Here's The Nocturnes and "Storm Warning". Although their live shows were well received, the band itself was short-lived only issuing 2 singles, this being the 2nd. The future would bring more success as the group morphed into Ray Brown & The Whispers.
