Hello, Internet!
This week's song is a new-ish one called 'Fall'. I wrote it back in June right before I played the 930 Club for the first time. There's a video live from that show, but if you haven't seen that, then this will be new!
It's about finally separating yourself from the prior ties that held you back from becoming who you are now. Learning to look back without longing for an image of your former self. Allowing the past to stay where it is in order to let the present arrive.
Anyway, I'm babbling. I like this song. I hope you do too.
Cheers,
d.
PS - Per usual, if you share and like and comment and tweet (and/or any combination of those), you're the best and I thank you.

LYRICS:
I can hear the rain
Coming down
Baby, you are nowhere to be found
This is hard
To tell the truth
But hindsight’s 20/20
When I'm looking back at you
This is nothing new
So let it fall
She is here
These parts, they fit
Interlocking limbs were built for this
She is always new
So let it fall
I’m not sure if I’m afraid or just alive
She’s a book
I’ll be a song
Word for word I’ll try to read along
Oh, oh
All I need is to fall
Can you hear the rain
Coming down?
Baby, you are nowhere to be found
I’ve grown up
I’ve moved on
I know now
She’s what I want
All I need is to fall
So let it fall
