Do you enjoy drawing and painting on location but find it a bit overwhelming?
Maybe you have good intentions, but when it comes down to it you avoid it?
In this video I share snippets from my recent trip to the North Norfolk Coast.
I use a watercolour sketchbook to create small quick drawings/mixed media studies. Together, they create a panoramic capture of the scene.
I limit the size, the materials and the time so there is no need to get overwhelmed (or fall out with others on the trip who might not be happy for you to spend the whole day drawing!).
and despite the loose and rough drawings, they do create a good capture of my experience of the place and will be enough for me to work with back in the studio.
