Ariel Ninas has been playing the hurdy-gurdy since 2001, incorporating a unique style based on traditional Galician music. His work blends elements of contemporary avant-garde aesthetics, including electronic, droning, and free improvisation. In 2003, he began performing live with Inflatable Buddha, an Oxford punk-rock-skiffle-acoustic band, touring extensively in the UK for two years. Ariel will be opening for fellow Galician all-female quartet Faltriqueira on October 6, 2024, at DROM NYC as a part of our Fall & Winter 2024-25 Season.
