Using Open Departments and Setting Margins in FTx POS
Enrich your Open Departments sales data by setting margin costs! For your Open Department products, you can set a margin by % or fixed amount for better reporting.
Open Departments can be used for products without a UPC, without inventory tracking, or those products sold on an “ad hoc” basis. Take your reporting a step further and set margins for these products. This adds cost/profit POS data for these products in your sales reports.
