Benchmarking PowerColor RX580! How will it compare to my old 7970? | T3 019
Benchmarking Powercolor RX580 Golden Sample GPU!
The tests that I decided on are 3Dmark Firestrike Extreme and Timespy Extreme running at both 1080P and 1440P. Ashes of the Singularity's GPU benchmark on both DX12 and Vulkan. Battlefield V on Ultra at 1080P and 1440P and lastly Deus Ex: Mankind Divided on Ultra at 1080 and 1440 in both DX11 and DX12.
I also decided to include the Frametime charts from BFV at 1080 and Deus Ex at 1080, just to give an idea of the consistency of the GPU.
If you are curious why I chose Ultra for the benchmarks it is simply that I wanted to present the most difficult scenario possible for the card, this was to determine if be viable or at least within a reasonable range that dropping down settings would allow for
This card is a beast when it comes to 1080P gaming and I was impressed that it did reasonably well even at 1440P. In addition it is very nice to finally have a card that supports the OpenCL acceleration in my video editing applications!
In the future I plan on making a video with more gaming performance data and possibly about Overclocking performance as well!
